Basic Loaf Pan Cheesecake
📝 Ingredients
For the crust:
1 cup crushed graham crackers (or digestive biscuits)
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons melted butter
For the filling:
450 g cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sour cream (or plain yogurt)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon flour (optional, for stability)

  1. Prepare the pan
    Line a loaf pan with parchment paper (leave some overhang for easy removal).
    Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. Make the crust
    Mix crushed biscuits, sugar, and melted butter.
    Press firmly into the bottom of the pan.
    Bake for 8–10 minutes, then let cool.
  3. Make the filling
    Beat cream cheese until smooth.
    Add sugar and mix well.
    Add eggs one at a time (don’t overmix).
    Mix in sour cream, vanilla, and flour.
  4. Bake
    Pour filling over the crust.
    Tap gently to remove air bubbles.
    Bake for 40–50 minutes, until center is slightly jiggly.
  5. Cool slowly
    Turn off oven, leave door slightly open, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
    Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
