Cheesy Meatloaf Patties
Ingredients
500 g ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
2 tablespoons oil or butter for frying
Optional Glaze
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon mustard
Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture
    In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    Mix until just combined.
    Fold in half of the shredded cheese.
  2. Shape the Patties
    Divide the mixture into equal portions.
    Flatten each into thick patties.
    Add a little cheese in the center if you want a gooey stuffed version, then seal well.
  3. Cook the Patties
    Stovetop Method
    Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
    Oven Method
    Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
    Place patties on a lined baking tray.
    Bake for 20–25 minutes.
  4. Add the Cheese
    Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the patties during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking.
    Cover briefly to melt the cheese perfectly.
  5. Optional Glaze
    Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard.
    Brush over patties before the final few minutes of cooking.
