Slow Cooker Cabbage and Potatoes
Ingredients
1 small head cabbage, chopped
5 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
1 teaspoon dried parsley
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
Instructions
Lightly grease the slow cooker.
Add the potatoes, cabbage, onion, and garlic.
Pour in the broth.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley.
Dot the butter over the top.
Cover and cook:
Low: 6–7 hours
High: 3–4 hours
Stir gently once tender.
Top with crumbled bacon before serving if desired.
