A refreshing homemade wellness tonic packed with citrus, ginger, turmeric, and honey. This nourishing drink is often enjoyed to support hydration, digestion, and overall wellness.
Ingredients
4 cups filtered water
1 lemon, sliced
1 orange, sliced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 teaspoon fresh turmeric, grated or 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1–2 tablespoons raw honey
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4–5 fresh mint leaves
Ice cubes (optional)
Optional Additions
1 cinnamon stick for warmth
Pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick
Chia seeds for extra texture and fiber
Sparkling water for a fizzy version
Instructions
In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle simmer.
Add ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon stick if using. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Strain into a large pitcher.
Add remaining 2 cups cold water, lemon slices, orange slices, mint, honey, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper.
Stir well until the honey dissolves.
