Kilted Sausage Bites
Also known as “sausages in kilts,” these are sweet, smoky, bacon-wrapped bites baked in a sticky glaze — perfect for parties!
🛒 Ingredients
2 (14-oz) packs smoked sausage (or kielbasa), cut into 1-inch pieces
12 slices bacon, cut into thirds
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup maple syrup (or honey)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top (helps crisp the bacon).
2️⃣ Wrap
Wrap each sausage piece with a strip of bacon.
Secure with a toothpick.
Arrange seam-side down on the rack.
3️⃣ Make the Glaze
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, pepper, and paprika.
4️⃣ Bake
Brush half the glaze over the bites.
Bake 25–30 minutes until bacon is crispy.
Brush with remaining glaze and bake another 5 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
🔥 Optional Kick
Add a pinch of cayenne or drizzle with hot honey for sweet-heat flavor.
