5-Minute Prep Banana Toffee Cake
Super moist banana cake topped with gooey toffee goodness — quick to mix, big on flavor 😍
🛒 Ingredients
For the Cake:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup melted butter (or oil)
¾ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
For the Toffee Topping:
½ cup brown sugar
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp heavy cream (or milk)
Pinch of salt
👩🍳 Instructions
🔥 1️⃣ Preheat
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish (or similar size).
🥣 2️⃣ Mix the Cake (5 Minutes!)
In a large bowl:
Mash bananas.
Stir in melted butter and brown sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla — mix well.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mix just until combined (don’t overmix).
Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
🍯 4️⃣ Make the Toffee
While cake bakes:
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in brown sugar and cream.
Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add a pinch of salt.

Pour warm toffee over warm cake.
Let it soak in for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
