Oven-Baked Parmesan and Garlic Fries 🍟🧄🧀
Ingredients
4 large russet potatoes
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes if desired. Cut them into evenly sized fries.
Soak the potatoes (optional but recommended)
Place the cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them completely dry.
Season the fries
In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange on the baking sheet
Spread the fries in a single layer, making sure they are not crowded.
Bake
Bake for 20 minutes, then flip the fries and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy.
Add Parmesan
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the hot fries.
Garnish and serve
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve warm.
Tips
Use russet potatoes for the crispiest fries.
Make sure the fries are fully dry before baking.
For extra crispiness, bake on a wire rack placed over the baking sheet.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with garlic aioli, ketchup, ranch, or spicy mayo.
Great alongside burgers, grilled chicken, or steak.
