Crock Pot Chicken Thighs 🍗🥘
Ingredients
6–8 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey (optional for a slightly sweet flavor)
3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
Prepare the chicken
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
Season the thighs
In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning over the chicken.
Place in crock pot
Add olive oil, chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic to the crock pot. Stir slightly.
Add chicken
Place the seasoned chicken thighs into the crock pot.
Cook
Cover and cook:
Low: 6–7 hours
High: 3–4 hours
until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
Optional crisping step
For crispy skin, place the cooked chicken thighs on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes.
Serve
Spoon some of the crock pot juices over the chicken before serving.
Tips
Add potatoes, carrots, or onions to the crock pot for a full meal.
Boneless thighs cook slightly faster than bone-in.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water and stir into the sauce during the last 20 minutes.
