🥩🧄 Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
Introduction
This hearty meal combines juicy steak bites cooked in rich garlic butter with crispy, cheesy smashed Potato. The tender Beef steak pairs perfectly with golden potatoes topped with melted Cheddar cheese for a satisfying comfort-food dinner.
Ingredients
For the Steak Bites
1 lb Beef steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
2 tablespoons Olive oil
4 tablespoons Butter
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
1½ lbs small Potato (baby or Yukon gold)
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 tablespoon Butter, melted
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Potatoes
Place potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15–18 minutes until fork-tender. Drain well. - Smash the Potatoes
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and gently smash them using the bottom of a glass. - Season and Bake
Drizzle with olive oil and melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Bake for 15 minutes, then top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake another 5 minutes until crispy and melted. - Cook the Steak Bites
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. - Make Garlic Butter
Reduce heat slightly, add butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Toss the steak bites in the garlic butter for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. - Serve
Plate the cheesy smashed potatoes and top or serve alongside the garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with fresh parsley.
