🍫 Chocolate Cake
A soft, moist chocolate cake with deep cocoa flavor—perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or whenever you crave a rich chocolate dessert.
📝 Ingredients
For the Cake
100 g cake flour
20 g cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
120 g granulated sugar
2 large eggs
80 ml vegetable oil
120 ml milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
80 ml hot water or hot coffee

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pan with parchment paper.
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, sift together cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Beat Eggs and Sugar
In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until the mixture becomes light and slightly fluffy.
Add Wet Ingredients
Mix in the vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix gently until smooth.
Add Hot Water or Coffee
Slowly stir in the hot water or hot coffee. The batter will be thin—this is normal and helps create a moist cake.
Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
🍫 Optional Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients
120 g butter (softened)
200 g powdered sugar
30 g cocoa powder
2–3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Beat the butter until creamy.
Add cocoa powder and powdered sugar gradually.
Mix in milk and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
Spread over the cooled cake.
💡 Tips for a Perfect Chocolate Cake
Hot coffee enhances the chocolate flavor but doesn’t make the cake taste like coffee.
Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake soft.
Use good-quality cocoa powder for a richer taste.
