Nopal Drink (Cactus Juice for Blood Sugar Support)
📝 Ingredients
1 fresh nopal (cactus pad), cleaned and chopped
1 cup water
Juice of ½ lemon
1 small piece fresh ginger (optional)
1–2 tsp honey (optional)
🥣 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Nopal
    Remove spines carefully
    Wash thoroughly
    Cut into small pieces
  2. Blend
    Add to a blender:
    Nopal
    Water
    Lemon juice
    Ginger (optional)
    Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain (Optional)
    Strain if you prefer a smoother drink (optional—fiber is beneficial).
  4. Serve
    Drink fresh, preferably in the morning.
    🍽️ Alternative: Simple Cooked Nopal
    If you don’t want a drink:
    Boil chopped nopal for 10–15 minutes
    Rinse
    Sauté with garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt
