Creamy Pork Chops and Potatoes
🛒 Ingredients:
4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
4–5 medium potatoes (peeled and sliced thin)
1 small onion (sliced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
👩🍳 Instructions:
- Season & sear pork chops:
Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until golden
Remove and set aside - Prepare potatoes:
Slice potatoes thinly for even cooking
Lightly season with salt and pepper - Cook aromatics:
In the same pan, sauté onion until soft
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds - Make the creamy sauce:
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits
Add heavy cream and seasoning (thyme/Italian herbs)
Simmer for 2–3 minutes - Assemble:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
In a greased baking dish:
Layer half the potatoes
Add pork chops
Add remaining potatoes
Pour creamy sauce evenly over everything
Sprinkle cheese on top - Bake:
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes
Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly - Serve:
Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving
💡 Tips:
Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor 🍄
Use a mix of cream + milk for a lighter version
Sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving 🌿
