Slow Cooker Honey Sriracha Chicken
✅ Ingredients
700 g (1.5 lbs) boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
½ cup honey
⅓ cup Sriracha
¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)
1 tbsp ketchup (optional, adds depth)
For thickening:
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Optional toppings:
Sesame seeds
Chopped green onions
👩🍳 Instructions
- Make the sauce
In a bowl, whisk together:
Honey
Sriracha
Soy sauce
Garlic
Ginger
Vinegar
Ketchup - Slow cook
Place chicken in the slow cooker.
Pour sauce over the top.
Cook:
LOW: 5–6 hours
HIGH: 2.5–3 hours - Shred or slice
Remove chicken and shred with forks (or slice for chunkier pieces).
Return to the sauce. - Thicken the sauce
Mix cornstarch + water.
Stir into slow cooker.
Cook on HIGH for 15–20 minutes until thick and glossy. - Serve
Serve over rice, noodles, or steamed veggies.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.

Chicken thighs = juicier, more flavorful
Like it spicy? Add extra Sriracha
Too spicy? Add a little more honey to balance
