Skillet Fried Corn (Crispy & Buttery Corn Recipe) 🌽
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil (optional, for extra crispiness)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
½ tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional)
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add butter (and oil if using).
Add chopped onion and sauté until soft and slightly golden.
Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the corn kernels and spread them evenly in the skillet.
Let the corn cook undisturbed for 3–4 minutes to get a nice char.
Stir occasionally and cook for another 8–10 minutes until golden, crispy, and slightly charred.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika or chili flakes.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
TIPS:
Use fresh corn for the best flavor and texture.
Don’t stir too often—this helps achieve a crispy, charred effect.
A cast iron skillet works best for even browning.
Add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra freshness.
You can mix in cheese or cream for a richer version.
