Golden Fried Potatoes & Onions
🛒 Ingredients
4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
1 large onion, sliced
3 tablespoons olive oil (or butter)
Salt and black pepper to taste
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
🍳 Instructions
Prep the potatoes
Slice potatoes thin (this helps them cook faster and get crispy).
Rinse and pat dry well—this step matters if you want them golden, not soggy.
Heat the pan
Add oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook the potatoes first
Add potatoes in a single layer if possible.
Let them cook undisturbed for 5–7 minutes until they start to brown.
Add onions
Stir in the sliced onions. Cook together, stirring occasionally, for 10–15 minutes until everything is soft inside and crispy outside.
Season & finish
Add salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Cook another 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
Serve hot
Sprinkle with parsley if you like.
