Coconut Chewies (Soft & Sweet Coconut Bars)
🧾 Ingredients
2 cups shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
1 can (395g) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
Optional:
½ cup chocolate chips or melted chocolate for topping

- Preheat
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Line a baking dish (20×20 cm) with parchment paper. - Mix
In a bowl, combine shredded coconut, condensed milk, vanilla, and salt.
Stir until everything is well coated and sticky. - Press
Transfer mixture to the baking dish.
Press down firmly into an even layer. - Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is lightly golden. - Cool
Let cool completely before cutting into squares or bars. - Optional topping
Drizzle or spread melted chocolate over the top and let set.

Cut into small chewy squares.
