Butter Toffee Pretzels
Sweet, salty, crunchy, and completely addictive — perfect for holidays, parties, or snack jars!
🛒 Ingredients
8 cups mini pretzels (twists or snaps)
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup (optional, for extra gloss)
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon baking soda
Optional Add-Ins:
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup toffee bits
Melted chocolate for drizzling
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Arrange Pretzels
Spread pretzels evenly on the baking sheet.
3️⃣ Make the Toffee
In a saucepan over medium heat:
Melt butter.
Stir in brown sugar, salt, and corn syrup.
Bring to a gentle boil and cook 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla and baking soda (it will foam slightly).
4️⃣ Coat the Pretzels
Immediately pour hot toffee over pretzels.
Stir gently to coat evenly.
5️⃣ Bake
Bake 12–15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Remove and spread out to cool completely (it will harden as it cools).
6️⃣ Finish
Break apart once cooled.
Add chocolate drizzle or toffee bits if desired.
