Creamy Green Pea Salad with Cheddar Cheese
A classic creamy pea salad loaded with sweet green peas, sharp cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and a tangy dressing. Perfect for potlucks, barbecues, or an easy side dish.
Ingredients
4 cups frozen green peas, thawed
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, cubed or shredded
1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Place thawed peas in a large mixing bowl.
Add cheddar cheese, red onion, and crumbled bacon.
In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Pour dressing over the pea mixture and stir gently until evenly coated.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for best flavor.

Tips
Do not over-thaw the peas; slightly firm peas give the best texture.
