Cream Cheese Squares
✅ Ingredients
Base layer:
1 box yellow cake mix
2 large eggs, beaten
½ cup butter, softened
Cream cheese layer:
225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
3 ½–4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

- Preheat oven
Preheat to 175°C (350°F)
Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish - Make the crust
In a bowl, mix:
Cake mix
Beaten eggs
Softened butter
Mix until a thick dough forms
Press evenly into the bottom of the pan - Make cream cheese filling
Beat cream cheese until smooth
Add eggs and vanilla, mix well
Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until creamy - Assemble
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust
Spread evenly - Bake
Bake for 35–40 minutes
The center should be slightly gooey (don’t overbake!) - Cool & serve
Let cool completely before cutting into squares
Dust with powdered sugar if desired
💡 Tips for Best Results
Slight jiggle in the center = perfect gooey texture
Chill before slicing for cleaner squares
Use less powdered sugar for a less sweet version
